Set Item Prices window

Shortcut column

Click the Shortcut column for an item if you wish to use the Pricing Shortcuts window to change prices for the item or a group of items. A mark will appear in the column next to the item. If you don't want a mark to appear for an item, click the mark to remove it.

List of items you sell

The list displays all items you sell and provide - in other words, the items for which you selected I Sell This Item in the Item Information window. For each item, the item number, name, average cost or last purchase price and current selling price are displayed.

Current price column

This column contains the current price for one selling unit of measure for each item you established in the Item Information window. You can change the prices that are displayed in this column individually, or use the Pricing Shortcuts window to change the prices of a group of items.

Print button

Click this button to print the Price Analysis report.

Shortcuts button

Click this button to open the Pricing Shortcuts window, which will allow you to change the prices of all your items, or just the prices of items whose Shortcut column contains a mark.

Last Cost button

Click this button to view the most recent cost of each item in the list. (The Last Cost column replaces the Avg Cost column.)

For items for which you selected I Buy This Item in the Item Information window, the last price you paid to purchase those items is displayed. For items for which you did NOT select I Buy This Item, but for which you selected I Inventory This Item in the Item Information window, the last cost that was used when you transferred those items in the Inventory Transfers window or sold those items in the Sales window is displayed.

If this selection is marked and you click the Shortcuts button, the prices you change can be based on the last purchase prices of the selected items.

Avg Cost button

Click this button to view the average cost of each inventoried item in the list. (The Avg Cost column replaces the Last Cost column.)

Average cost is calculated by dividing the current value of each item's quantities by the number of items on hand.

If this selection is marked and you click the Shortcuts button, the prices you change can be based on the average cost of the selected items.
